Many years ago, a young man attending a conference at the University of Ibadan was so moved by the experience,  he knew that, like those presenters at the conference,  he had to become  an artist and a scholar .

The young man later went to the United States where he made a name as the artist and scholar he had long wanted to be.

After many years, the formerly young man, now with a white beard and a shining  cranium,  visited to his native country, Nigeria.

This site is a presentation of his account of his adventures in what turned out to be a new world.

Moyo Okediji has been compelled  to chronicle his adventures in  three Facebook accounts ​.

The story is so rich it cannot be allowed to remain only on Facebook.

 

The image on the left depicts stations on a journey, a journey of understanding, of pilgrimage to unanticipated possibilities of meaning indicated by the progression of the beautiful arches towards the right.
